Excited Arsene Wenger believes Scotland's ability to cope with Germany will set the tone for Euro 2024 as he insists the hosts will not have it all their own way.Steve Clarke's side face the host nation in Munich in the first game of the tournament, as well as playing against Switzerland and Hungary.
Germany have been heavily criticised in their homeland after a disastrous recent run of results which saw them lose their last two games to Turkey and Austria.And Arsenal managerial legend Wenger reckons the pressure will really increase when they face Scotland this summer.
Wenger said: "I think it's a fantastic group and I am particularly looking forward to the opening game between Germany and Scotland in Munich because we will have a fantastic atmosphere.
But for me, Germany are not one of the favourites to win the tournament. They will be under huge pressure against Scotland because it's the first game of their own tournament and it will be interesting to see how they handle it."It's still difficult to predict today because a lot can still happen in six months, but they shouldn't necessarily be judged by the last results of the Germans, which were not satisfactory.
