Why haven't Manchester City signed anyone yet this summer? That is the question on the lips of City fans. The Blues may still end the summer with some activity, and there have been mixed messages from the decision-makers, from Pep Guardiola, to Txiki Begiristain, chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and club owner Sheikh Mansour.

When City won the Premier League and then lost the FA Cup final, Guardiola offered a similar verdict but did pass on what he had been told by Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain - as well as hint at outgoings dictating who would come in.
