A couple have told of their ordeal of being "dumped" for five days at an "unfinished" hotel in Turkey, after the global IT outage that led to the cancellation of their flight home.

George Williams-Sales, 26, from Wandsworth, south-west London, had booked his first all-inclusive holiday with TUI, spending seven days at the Prime Beach Hotel in Marmaris, Dalaman, Turkey, alongside his girlfriend, Lulu Mann, 24, a receptionist.

Their enjoyable stay was marred when they were set to return on July 19, but found themselves stranded due to their Gatwick-bound flight being delayed and then cancelled as a result of a global IT outage, triggered by a faulty update from cybersecurity company CrowdStrike.
