A man has been arrested in connection with a serious sexual offence in North Ayrshire involving an 18-year-old woman.Cops launched a probe into an incident which occurred in the Dockhead Street area of Saltcoats in the early hours of Friday, January 27.Police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a report of a serious sexual offence involving an 18-year-old woman in the Dockhead Street area of Saltcoats in the early hours of Saturday, 27 January, 2023. “A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries, which are ongoing.” For the latest news and breaking news visit our website .
