Residents in Wishaw and the surrounding areas are being invited to make new friends and become more active by joining new health walks.The walks are being organised by Get Walking Lanarkshire, and the programme is a joint venture between North Lanarkshire Council and neighbouring South Lanarkshire Council that has been running since 2014.The aim is to engage people who usually walk very little or not at all on outings led by trained volunteers on risk-assessed paths, so the pace is suitable for everyone.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Paula and I are working together. Most of our walks are weekly walks and at the moment we have 34 different weekly walks across Lanarkshire. "The Wishaw walk will be every week from the wellbeing centre which is situated in the former cinema at Kirk Road in Wishaw.“The walks are suited to everyone, they last no longer than one hour and the pace is slow so they are suitable for everyone.
