M&S has unveiled plans to launch 13 new stores, including food halls, across the UK within the next year. The retailer announced in its latest full-year results report that it will be opening four new full-line stores and nine food halls.
The first of these is set to open at the Galleries in Washington, City of Sunderland, on May 30. This upcoming 43,000 sq ft store will take over the current food hall at the retail park, offering a range of food and clothing items.
It will feature a bakery, florist, and wine shop, alongside a click-and-collect service for online orders.
