A Fringe festival show offering a chance to get up close with Scottish pop legend Lulu has been cancelled at the 11th hour due to a lack of interest.The ‘In Conversation with Christopher Biggins’ event at Edinburgh’s Prestonfield House on Friday, August 23, had been advertised as a chance to hear about the life of “a pop sensation and a national treasure” who is renowned for her powerful voice and enduring career.”But despite fans being reminded in promotional material that the Glaswegian born star burst onto the music scene in the 1960s with her chart-topping debut single Shout at the age of 15, the show flopped before it could go ahead.The Fringe Prestonfield website also advertised that: “Lulu’s career has been marked by versatility, extending beyond music to encompass acting and television hosting.

Her iconic song To Sir with Love from the film of the same name, became a timeless classic."The website continued: “Throughout the decades, Lulu continued to evolve, embracing various musical genres and collaborating with artists such as David Bowie and became the iconic leading voice for James Bond’s The Man With The Golden Gun.

Lulu’s contributions to the industry earned her numerous accolades, including a Grammy nomination for Whos’ Foolin’ Who."
