LuckyChap Ups Bronte Payne To Senior VP Of Film
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: LuckyChap has promoted Bronte Payne to the role of Senior Vice President of Film. Payne has been with the company since 2018 and has been an intergral part in developing and shepherding such projects as My Old Ass, Oceans prequel and Boston Strangler.
As SVP, Payne will oversee and cultivate LuckyChap’s film slate with a focus on new and exciting voices. “Bronte has been instrumental in LuckyChap’s growth since she joined the company in 2018,”said LuckyChap Principals in a statement. “Her promotion to SVP is well-deserved and recognizes the vital role that she has played and will continue to play finding new voices and developing and producing meaningful projects.” Payne has served on the Denver Film Festival Jury; and she has been selected as a mentor for the Women in Film Fellowship Program this year.
Payne attended the Student Symposium at Telluride Film Festival and later studied at AFI, where she received her MFA. She’s previously interned at A24 and worked for Kaplan/Perrone.
LuckyChap most recently produced the global phenomenon Barbie which was released by Warner Bros. on July 21, 2023, amassed over 1.4 Billion dollars at the box office and was the highest grossing film of 2023 and the highest grossing theatrical release in Warner Bros.
