Love Island couple dramatically dumped just days before the final

The current series of Love Island finishes on Monday 29 July, and the remaining couples at the Majorcan villa must all have their eye on the £50,000 grand prize – except for one unfortunate duo, who were unceremoniously dumped following the Grafties ceremony that has yet to air on ITV2.The couple in question, who were part of the recoupling ceremony shown on Friday 19 July, have already packed their bags and left the villa, so have missed out on a chance at the cash.They were given the boot after the annual Grafties, in which viewers voted for Islanders in categories such as Unfinished Business, Epic Fail, Dramatic Performance and Flirtiest Performance.The Grafties – and that surprise eviction of an Islander couple – comes immediately after the final recoupling of the show.

Ayo Odukoya received the dreaded text telling them that the boys were the ones who could make the choice of which girl to couple up with for one final time.

One of the stars of the show this year has been, of course, Joey Essex, the first celebrity to enter the Love Island villa as a bombshell.

During his time on Love Island he’s romanced more than one girl, and come face to face with a couple of women he already knew, and then stirred the pot some more earlier this week when he was given what he described as a secret mission to.
