Loose Women star on 'catastrophic' relationship and one thing that changed her life

Loose Women star Jamelia has opened up about her love life ahead of Celebs Go Dating, revealing that her last relationship ended "catastrophically".

The singing superstar, who was a regular panellist on Loose Women between 2013 and 2016, revealed earlier this year that her last relationship broke down when she was four-and-a-half months pregnant back in 2022.

She told the Daily Star at the time: "My relationship broke down. Me and my daughters were abandoned. It was an unexpected life change that absolutely devastated us and changed everything." Jamelia is now starring in the latest series of Celebs Go Dating and has revealed that she signed up to the show after feeling that she was ready for romance again. "I've been single for two and a half years and my last relationship ended catastrophically," she told OK!

in an exclusive chat. "I’m at a point where I’m really happy, I’ve recovered from that experience and I thought, ‘I’d love to go on a date!’" She added that going on the show proved to be a 'life-changing' experience for her and that the experts - Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr.Tara Su - transformed her attitude to dating. "I realised that I was choosing men as the little girl that didn’t get picked up by her dad, so many things were linked back to my childhood," she said. "I’m over that now and I know that I am worthy of great love.The agents have changed my life.
