Layton Williams has revealed 'the truth' behind his decision to take part in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing. The Bury-born actor, 28, is among the 15 celebrities taking part in the 2023 run of the hit BBC One dance contest and fans will get to see which professional dancers they have been paired with during the launch show this Saturday (September 16) before the competition really begins the following week (Saturday, September 23) with the first live edition.

And ahead of the new series, the Bad Education actor has spoken about what made him want to take part in the show. He said: "I love me a dance, I love to perform so it seems like a no brainer to hopefully do that in front of millions of people and enjoy it every time!
