Lanarkshire angling club gets set for open day competition

A Lanarkshire angling club is preparing to host an open day competition for the first time in five years – with a £500 top prize on offer for the top catch of the day.The special event hosted by Airdrie angling club takes place at their Hillend Loch location on Saturday, August 5, and all interested participants including non-members are invited to take part.Cash prizes of £150, £75 and £30 are available for the heaviest fish of the day at the post-competition weigh-in, while competitors will find out more about the criteria to win the top prize of the “sponsor special catch” at the beginning of the day.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
