Saturday 17 June marked King Charles’ first Trooping the Colour event as monarch and during his balcony appearance with Queen Camilla, he had a cheeky three-word response to the Queen after she gave him an order.
King Charles stood with his family on the balcony for the historic event during the Trooping the Colour parade and they watched the RAF flypast on the sunny afternoon.
During the appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony, eagle-eyed fans saw Camilla putting a hand on Charles’ shoulder and slightly pulling him back.The Mirror reported that lip reader Jeremy Freeman has claimed the Queen gave the King and order which he had a cheeky response to.
He claimed that Queen Camilla said: "Don't walk away, you know I can't walk on my throne/own." To which, Charles replied: “Oh deary me.” The first Trooping the Colour Parade of King Charles' reign took place in London as the seven regiments of the Household Division took part in a breath-taking display of military pageantry between Buckingham Palace and Horse Guards Parade at Whitehall.
