Mikel Arteta remains a huge believer in the £25m star and Sagna is adamant leaving North London is not an option.Tierney came off the bench in Sunday's 2-0 win over Tottenham but has had to settle for regular game time in the Cup competitions this season.
But Sagna is adamant things can turn quickly and believes the 25-year-old must keep striving to improve and opportunities will once again become available.
Sagna, speaking to Midnite, said: "Kieran Tierney should not leave Arsenal, it's a long project. I was in the same situation at Man City when I joined, I was benched more than what I was used to.
