Kelly Clarkson and Jenna Bush Hager bond over their ‘chubby’ stages: ‘Chub club’

During the segment, host Kelly Clarkson, 41, showed the sisters a photo of themselves taken during President George W. Bush’s term in office.
In the snapshot, they wore matching blue-lace dresses to which Bush Hager, 41, remarked: “We were chubby.” “No you were not,” Clarkson replied.Bush Hager then clarified that she was speaking about a specific stage in her life. “In my life was I chubby,” Bush Hager said, before asking Barbara if she agreed.“I don’t think you know what chubby is,” the “Since U Been Gone” singer chimed in. “You can’t ask somebody that!
She’s not gonna be like, ‘You were a chub club.’ ”“There was a stage,” Barbara confirmed, to which Clarkson claimed that she also had “many stages.” “I had a stage,” the musician stated. “I’ve had many stages.”“I love losing weight, but here’s the thing…” the “Stronger” singer continued. “Jeans are so hard when you have a butt and a smaller waist.”The singer, who lost weight in 2018, revealed she always felt “bigger” than other girls even when competing on “American Idol” in 2002. “Even on ‘American Idol’ I was really thin, but I was bigger than the other girls on the show, so people would say things to me,” Clarkson previously told People. “But luckily I am super confident, so I’ve never had a problem with shutting people down and saying, ‘Yeah, you know, that’s just what I’m rocking.
