After winning a landslide election victory, Keir Starmer became Britain's 58th Prime Minister - and has now met with King Charles to 'officially' mark the occasion. The Labour leader accepted an invitation from the King to meet and it looks like one rather 'freaky' royal honour could be on the cards for him, following his new position.

If previous Prime Minister traditions are anything to go by, a trip to Royal hotspot Balmoral Castle could be on the cards. Following in the footsteps of previous country leaders, Keir and his family - including his wife Victoria and his son and daughter, if they choose to - will reportedly be invited to spend a few days there with the Royals during the summer.

Balmoral Castle is located in Royal Deeside and was bought by Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert in 1852 from the Farquharson family.

It's also a place for which the late Queen had a deep affection for in Scotland. Previous incumbents of Number 10 have had mixed feelings about their own visits, however.
