Bothwell badminton ace Kirsty Gilmour is looking to “do some damage and get wins” after receiving her group draw opponents for Paris 2024.GB star Gilmour has been placed in group N alongside sixth-seed He Bing Jiao of China and Azerbaijan’s Keisha Fatimah Azzahra for the matches, which will take place between July 27 and 31.Speaking before jetting off to France, Gilmour, 30, was looking forward to the competition. She said: “I’m fairly happy with my draw.“I’ve had wins against both these players in the past, so I know I have the game to do some damage and get wins.“They’re actually both left-handers, so that makes my preparations a little more simple!

We have two lefty boys in training, so they’ll be my chief sparrers in the next few days.“I feel well prepared, kind of just looking forward to getting there and getting started at this point.

Hopefully I can bring some good performances.”Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
