Kanye West is being sued by a paparazzo after he confronted her and threw her cellphone during a heated exchange.
The situation was caught on camera earlier this year and involved photographer Nichol Lechmanik. She spoke out about the situation in a press conference, claiming that he caused lasting mental damage and explaining the reason that she filed the lawsuit. Read more about Kanye West’s lawsuit… At the press conference on Thursday (June 1), Nichol recalled the encounter. “He reached into my car as if he were going to hit me, he grabbed my phone out of my hand and then angrily threw it into the street,” she said, via Variety. “He caused so much fear that I have not been the same since.” She continued, noting, “He has no right to assault me, batter me or cause me to be afraid to pursue my profession.” “I want Ye to know that he cannot do what he did to me without facing consequences.
I am determined to stand up for myself to let him know that he must change his abhorrent behavior,” she said. In her lawsuit, Nichol said that the incident caused “great mental and emotional pain” and that she has “lost earnings” as a result. Kanye is also being sued by former employees at his school Donda Academy.
