Jamie McKim blasted his sleepy Burgh side’s defending in a 5-0 rout at the hands of Drumchapel United as “criminal”.The Keanie Park club were hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Shotts Bon Accord that all but ended their promotion hopes. And on Saturday it went from bad to worse for the Renfrewshire side, with promotion-chasing Drumchapel slamming home five unanswered goals on an afternoon to forget for Burgh. And fuming manager McKim is demanding more from his players and insists they won’t be allowed to let the end of the season end on a whimper.McKim said: “It wasn’t good enough.
In possession, out of possession, defensively, we weren’t good enough.“I’m not trying to downplay how well Drumchapel played.
I thought they were the better team by a fair distance.“But to give goals away so easily is absolutely criminal.“I’m looking for more from the players that are here at the moment.
They need to be brave and get on the ball and create chances.“Defensively I need players to have more pride in their defending.
