But they were left up against it after new singing Jefte was given his marching orders by referee Marco Guida.The Italian had booked Jefte in the first half for a late challenge on Andriy Yarmolenko on the touchline, which seemed a soft decision in itself.
But his second caution left Gers fans and players alike both angry and baffled. The Brazilian simply jumped with Oleksandr Karavaev to win a header but the Dynamo man went down holding his head.
And despite minimal contact, Guida flashed another yellow to leave Clement’s men facing more than an hour and potentially extra time with just ten men.
