The frantic search to locate missing teen Jay Slater in Tenerife is continuing in its second week, with rescue teams still searching the mountains in the north west of the island. The 19-year-old was reported missing on June 17 while on a holiday with pals.

He attended the NRG rave in the Playa de las Americas resort, before reportedly travelling over 30km to stay in the rural village of Masca with two men he had met.Jay has not been seen or heard from since his phone is said to have died in the middle of a vast ravine, with major efforts continuing across the 'treacherous' Rural de Teno Park and huge police enquiries ongoing, reports Manchester Evening News. However, there are six key questions that are still confusing friends, family and leading investigators about the case. The British teen is believed to have walked off alone, uphill into the mountains of the Rural de Teno Park on June 17, after staying at a remote Airbnb with two people he is thought to have met at the NRG music festival. The teen stayed in the village of Masca - around 30km away from Los Cristianos, the resort where he had been staying with friends in the south of the island.

The Airbnb owner said that Jay 'walked off alone' and uphill, in the wrong direction, after she had told him a bus out of the village would be two hours.

However, despite its remoteness, Jay's devastated parents, dad Warren and mum Debbie, have questioned how nobody saw him on the Monday morning that he vanished.
