The family of missing teenager Jay Slater have once again opened up about their 'living nightmare', as the desperate search to find the Brit continues for its eleventh day.
19-year-old Jay, from Lancashire, has now been missing since June 17, when he disappeared in the mountains of the Rural de Teno Park.
He had stayed at an Airbnb rental the night before he vanished after 'walking off alone’ in a remote part of the Island. So far the rescue effort to bring Jay home has seen members of the Civil Guard, fire crews and mountain rescue teams deployed to the vast and 'treacherous' area, while Jay's friends and family have also travelled to the island to assist the search. In a new statement to the Manchester Evening News, Debbie said the family are still in a 'living nightmare' but that they have 'every faith' in the police and rescue teams continuing to carry out searches.
