Jarnell Stokes’ Stoked Bros Media Strikes Deal With ORWO To Finance and Sell Film Slate Starting With Thriller ‘Break The Cycle’
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Stoked Bros Media, the company co-founded by former NBA player Jarnell Stokes, has ironed out a deal with Germany-based ORWO for the latter to co-produce, co-finance and handle the post-production and international sales for a slate of three Stoked projects over the next six months.
First up on the slate is urban thriller Break the Cycle starring Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire), Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill: Vol.
1), and Loretta Devine (Waiting to Exhale). The film marks Stokes’ first screenplay and charts the story of two brothers in Memphis, with one aspiring to play in the NBA and the other facing the challenges of street crime.
