James Morrison's wife cause of death confirmed as he's 'holding it together for daughters'

Singer James Morrison’s wife Gill Catchpole tragically died after taking her own life, a coroner has been told today.The 45 year old mother of two was found dead at her home in School Lane, Whitminster, last Friday morning, Gloucestershire Coroner Roland Wooderson was told.The news emerged as a formal inquest into Gillian’s death was launched on Tuesday 9 January, but has since been adjourned to a later date after a pathologist gave a provisional cause of death hinting at suicide.

Samples have now been taken from Gill’s body to conduct a toxicological analysis to further determine any contributing factors which may have led to her death.

James and his family were rocked by the devastating loss of Gill last week when she was found by her husband last Friday after a friend had contacted him to alert him that they couldn’t access the property.

Since the tragic news, James has been “holding it together” for the sake of his daughters, Elsie, 15, and Ada Rose, five. Broken Strings hitmaker James has yet to make any public statement following his wife’s death but has postponed all of his work commitments while “being supported by his family” through this difficult time.
