Glastonbury has added more names to its 2024 line-up, as organisers share the bill for this year’s Acoustic Stage.The official 2024 line-up for Glastonbury was shared last month – with Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA set to headline the iconic Pyramid Stage this summer, while Shania Twain will perform in the legends slot on the Sunday.Now, following the main announcement, the organisers of the iconic Worthy Farm festival have begun counting down the weeks to this year’s instalment by beginning to announce the artists playing at individual stages around the site.Announced today (April 12), the announcement of those playing at individual stages has kicked off with the Acoustic Stage – and several new artists being confirmed as performing across June 28 and June 30.The Friday slot (June 28) will see performances led by Scouting For Girls, as well as Tanita Tikaram, Deverish, Stornoway, Josh Rous, Angie McMahon, John Smith, The Burma and more. It will also feature sets from Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ cover band, Red Hot Chilli Pipers.Saturday’s line-up at the Acoustic Stage includes Birmingham rock group Ocean Colour Scene, as well as Ralph McTell, The Manfields (featuring Paul Jones and Mike d’Abo), Albert Lee and more.

The Human League, Ocean Colour Scene, and The Coral have been announced to headline North West’s Deva Fest 2024.The “family-friendly” festival will take place from August 8-11 at Cheshire’s Cholmondeley Castle. Ocean Colour Scene, John Power of Cast and The La’s, Mark Chadwick of Levellers, Mark Morriss of The Bluetones and Saffron of Republica will join forces for an orchestral celebration of Britpop and are set to perform a selection of their hits and other iconic tracks from that era.The one-off run of shows will kick off on June 7 at the Eventim Apollo in London followed by the Symphony Hall in Birmingham on June 8 and will wrap up on June 9 at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.The general ticket sale will take place on Friday, October 20 at 10am. Richard Ashcroft has announced a show at Englefield House in Berkshire, England, this summer.The former The Verve frontman will play the grounds of the Elizabethan country house on July 22, as part of the Heritage Live concert series. Ocean Colour Scene have announced that they will be hitting the road for a new UK tour later this year. Find dates and ticket details below.The band will be performing a series of live performances in cities including Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow and Norwich – as well as a show in London’s Eventim Apollo on December 16.Set to kick off on August 18 with an opening concert in Margate, the tour will span until December 18, closing at the O2 Academy in Glasgow.

Ocean Colour Scene frontman Simon Fowler has opened up about being outed as gay by the tabloids in the 1990s.Speaking in a new interview for NME’s Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?! when asked about The Sun revealing his sexuality in 1998, Fowler said: “I don’t think it was a big deal. It was noticeable that our third album [1997’s] ‘Marchin’ Already’ went to Number One and knocked Oasis’ ‘Be Here Now’ off the top spot – which is when Noel Gallagher sent us a plaque: ‘Congratulations to the second greatest band in the world’.“But the album didn’t end up selling anywhere near as much as its predecessor, ‘Moseley Shoals’, overall.

Sam Fender and Paolo Nutini have been announced as the final two headliners of Victorious Festival 2022.The two artists join Stereophonics in topping the bill at the Portsmouth festival, which will return to the Southsea Seafront this year between August 26-28.As well as Fender and Nutini, Primal Scream and The Libertines have been added to the line-up of Victorious Festival 2022 today (February 8).Anne-Marie, Editors, Amy Macdonald, Example, White Lies, Suede, Ocean Colour Scene,  Inhaler, Turin Brakes, The Subways, Andy C and Hot Chip Mega Mix will also perform at this year’s event.Those acts join the likes of James, The Wombats, Self Esteem and Sugababes on the line-up for Victorious Festival 2022.‘‘We can’t wait for this year’s festival, we built the excitement with our first wave of artists and we’re thrilled to be able to announce even more amazing acts for 2022,” Andy Marsh, Victorious’ festival director, said in a statement about today’s announcement.“Stay tuned as we’ve got even more acts to announce between now and the festival!”Tickets for Victorious Festival 2022 are on sale now from here, and you can find out more information about this year’s festival by heading here.

Paul Weller made a surprise appearance during Ocean Colour Scene‘s show in London last night – check out the fan-shot footage below.The group joined Weller on tour back in the early ’90s, with their guitarist Steve Cradock going on to play in the former Jam frontman’s solo band.
