Ed Balls left Susanna Reid with her head in her hands on the latest episode of Good Morning Britain as he asked Lorraine Kelly: "Is it working?" The former labour politician-turned-TV star was stood up from his seat as he and his co-host spoke to their fellow ITV star via video link from their neighbouring studio.

"Do you think I should feel something?" he asked as Susanna turned her body away from her co-host and laughed. "Give it ten minutes," the mum-of-three quipped as Ed quizzed: "Is there something happening?" Lorraine then informed him: "You have to rub it on," before Susanna exclaimed: "Oh my goodness," and put her head in her hands. "Do it later," Lorraine then suggested as Ed pretended to look for an exit route from his seat on the GMB desk. "I'll tell you, I prefer the Bakewell tart," Ed added prompting more laughter and for Susanna to say: "Oh my days," before swiftly moving on with the programme.
