The mum of a girl who was sent home for wearing Vivienne Westwood pumps says her daughter was 'treated like a dog' by staff and is refusing to send her back into school.
Melissa Pope says her 11-year-old daughter Layla Thomson was put into isolation for several hours before eventually being picked up early on her first day at secondary school after her branded footwear was deemed to be unsuitable.
Furious Ms Pope, 37, says her daughter was forced to sit on a hard wooden floor and wasn't allowed to use the toilet or have a drink.
She also claims her daughter was forced to wait until last for her lunch and to write out rules.
