Price increases for under-16s club concessions in South Lanarkshire will be introduced over a three year period following approval this week.In March, it was announced that youth clubs would experience a price hike for letting council pitches and halls, the increase went from a 75 per cent discount of an adult rate to 50 per cent, this was introduced to balance South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s budget.Following the decision, clubs all over South Lanarkshire expressed their concerns and staged protests warning the council that it could lead to the demise of youth football.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
