Architects have released a surprise single, ‘Seeing Red’ – listen to the heavy new track below.Released on December 4, the fiery new track sees the Brighton quartet at their most brutal, featuring spirited guitar riffs, pummeling breakdowns, and guttural vocals, all culminating in a melodic hook which finds frontman Sam Carter sarcastically tackling his critics: “Read me all my rights / I’ll never grow tired of your great advice / Won’t somebody tell me / What I believe”.The track was released alongside a video by drummer Dan Searle, which depicts the band performing the track against a black backdrop and a minimal set design.Watch the video for Architect’s ‘Seeing Red’ below:In addition to the release of ‘Seeing Red’, the band have also announced a North American tour, scheduled for Spring 2024. Spanning 13 dates, the tour commences on May 2 in Toronto’s Rebel, and concludes in Columbus, Ohio’s Sonic Temple on May 13.

Architects have announced that guitarist Josh Middleton has left the band.In a statement posted to Instagram, the band said that they “remain close friends” with Middleton, who joined the band in 2017 following the death of founding member Tom Searle.“It is with a heavy heart that we announce Josh’s time in the band has come to an end,” Architects wrote in their statement. “It has gradually become apparent that we need to go our separate ways, but we remain close friends.”They added: “Josh was a life raft for the band after we lost Tom and he gave us a way to keep the band alive through the hardest experience or our lives.

Architects kicked off an Australian tour in Adelaide last night (February 17), however the show was quickly derailed when a heckler rushed the stage and attempted to assault guitarist Josh Middleton.According to several attendees on social media, the band were four songs into their set – performing ‘These Colours Don’t Run’ from 2012’s ‘Daybreaker’ album – when an unidentified man rushed the stage, made an attempt to physically attack Middleton and screamed obscenities into a microphone; he was reportedly “dragged out of the venue by four security guards” (per concertgoer Dani Brown) and thereafter handled by police.Prior to the incident, the man was said to be loudly heckling singer Sam Carter, demanding that Architects perform older material out of “respect” for late guitarist Tom Searle (who died in 2016). Slipknot, has announced the first-ever Pulse of the Maggots Fest in the UK.The inaugural UK stop of the festival will see an international bill made up of developing bands and emerging artists, who will perform at The Mill in Birmingham on August 10.The event will be headlined by British metal band Sylosis, with other acts on the bill including Sweden’s Orbit Culture, Bristol-based Heriot, Las Vegas’ Spiritworld, Sheffield’s Rough Justice, LA bands All Hail The Yeti and Thrown Into Exile and Birmingham natives Cauldron.“We are extremely honoured to share a piece of our culture with the Maggots of Birmingham, England,” Slipknot’s Clown commented. “KNOTFEST has always stood to bring likeminded people together, so what better place to do it than in the city that sparked the flame!”Sylosis guitarist Josh Middleton said of the event: “We’re very excited to be back in Birmingham alongside some of the best upcoming talent in international metal.
