A man accused of fatally stabbing his sister’s ex has told a court: “I wanted to protect her - I believed he was there to kill her’.
Liam Fosbrook, 29, is on trial at Minshull Street Crown Court accused of the unlawful killing of Dylan Towers. Prosecutors allege that Mr Fosbrook knifed Dylan, 35, after he repeatedly turned up at his sister’s home in Brinnington, Stockport, despite a court order prohibiting him from contacting her.
Breaking down as he gave evidence, Mr Fosbrook said: “I was just frightened of him trying to get into the house and trying to get to my sister.” READ MORE: 'I'll show you what a real man looks like...' thug told stranger before knocking her out “After everything I had seen and read and all the previous messages, I thought he was going to try and kill her.” Mr Fosbrook, of Wythenshawe, denies manslaughter.
