When Jay Slater left the remote Airbnb where he was invited to stay after a rave in Tenerife, it's believed he took a wrong turn.

The 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, in Lancashire, had been partying with pals at an NRG Festival rave in Playa de las Americas a few hours earlier.

From there, he travelled more than 30km north to Casa Abuela Tina, an Airbnb on the fringe of the tiny village of Masca. He had been invited to stay at the property by two men - including convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim, 31, who told MailOnline: "He came to my Airbnb alive and he left my Airbnb alive." Jay was seen leaving the Airbnb on foot, in the morning of June 17.

Orphelia, the Airbnb's owner, previously told the Manchester Evening NewsJay 'walked up the road' by himself, and was 'walking fast'.
