Three 18-year-old women who 'came from nothing' to 'work their way up' were left 'heartbroken, shocked and upset' after finding their home in east Manchester had been burgled two days before Christmas.

The property in Gorton had been broken into when Salome, who works as a supervisor at a café, came back home in the early hours of the morning on Saturday (December 23).

She found a window smashed and said that it seemed that someone had tried to pry open the back door to get inside. She found her housemates' bedrooms had been 'turned upside down' with 'every piece of jewellery' stolen from one. She called her two housemates, two flight attendants from Darlington, who 'didn't even know how to react'.
