According to a Polish woman living in Glasgow, EU nationals are returning to the continent in droves as "everything in Britain is collapsing" - and she's planning on doing the same.Tomasz Orynski, a Polish freelance journalist who left the UK less than two years ago after a 17-year stay, shared a conversation with the woman on X (formerly Twitter) this week.

Tomasz's friend told him EU nationals are leaving the UK "left and right" due to various reasons - from the cost of living crisis to healthcare access issues.

She claimed to be "the only person in her work who still has access to a dentist", as dental surgeries are "so overwhelmed" they're refusing patients "even privately".In Battlefield, Glasgow, where both Tomasz and his friend previously lived, she said rents were so high that even those earning more than them "can't afford to live there".

Tomasz's friend also expressed frustration over rising costs, saying: "Everything is so bloody expensive that even though I make £60,000 in my current job I feel just as when I was making less than £35,000 in the last one." The journalist added that some of his other friends still living in Scotland "haven't seen a pay rise for five years now".Tomasz recounted another chat with a second mate regarding the dire state of Scotland's roads.
