Fitness experts have shared tips on how to maintain regular exercise, as new research has found it "significantly reduces insomnia risk".A new long-term study published in the journal BMJ Open this week discovered working out regularly twice a week or more significantly lowers chances of the disorder which impacts sleeping patterns.According to the research, people who exercise regularly were 42 per cent less likely to struggle falling asleep than those who were inactive and 22 per cent less likely to report symptoms of insomnia.

These include difficulty sleeping at night, falling asleep during the day, depression, anxiety and poor focus.Everyone's fitness journey is unique so there's no one-size-fits-all approach.
