Horrified Scots community 'unable to sleep' after machete attack left 'man's hand severed'

Emergency services raced to Whinfell Gardens in East Kilbride after two men were allegedly attacked by a group of three armed males on Wednesday, July 31.
We previously told how the men broke into a property and demanded money before one victim's hand was 'severed' and another needed surgery.
Residents had raised the alarm after being awoken to screams and calls for help - and one local has now spoken to Glasgow Live in the aftermath of the horror incident, saying she has been left unable to sleep for fear of further violence.The neighbour said: "I woke up to screams asking for help and for the police and ambulance to be phoned.
