Helicopter joins search for missing man with focus around Scottish reservoir

A police helicopter has been brought in to aid in the search for a man missing in in Midlothian. Robert Robertson, 48, was reported missing earlier today.He was last seen in the Gladhouse area around 1pm on Friday, December 30, and there are concerns for his welfare.

He is described as being white, around 5ft 10, with a regular build. He may be wearing a navy blue work uniform and fluffy hat.The search is being focused on Gladhouse area, with officers on the ground being assisted by the force chopper, which is scouring the local reservior.Inspector David Hughes, of Police Scotland, said: “We are appealing for anyone with information on David’s whereabouts to come forward and contact police as soon as possible.“There are searches ongoing in the Gladhouse area, including assistance from a helicopter at Gladhouse Reservoir.
