Helen Skelton's drastic career change revealed as she lands new TV role
ok.co.ukHelen Skelton has announced a surprising new role, voicing farmer Annie Morris in the popular Channel 5 cartoon, Fireman Sam.
Better known as a presenter on Countryfile and more recently through her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, the 40 year old is certainly mixing things up with this latest job.
Helen's new character will be introduced in the upcoming 15th series of the animated show, which consists of 26 episodes and premieres on Saturday, October 21.
In a statement, the TV star shared: "I'm thrilled to be a part of the Fireman Sam family and lend my voice to the spirited character of Farmer Annie Morris. "This series is packed with adventures and important life lessons for kids, and I can't wait for everyone to see it." This Fireman Sam curveball comes after a particularly testing last 18 months for Helen, who suddenly split from ex-husband Richie Myler in April 2022 after nine years of marriage.
