Hamilton Accies have agreed a deal with Hearts that will see them take young striker Makenzie Kirk on loan until the end of this season.Accies hope the Northern Irish under-19 international will add goals to their League One title bid.The teenager is highly regarded at Tynecastle.Accies director of football Gerry Strain said: "We are hoping that Makenzie can come to the club and continue his already great form this season by adding goals to our team."This is an area we've been looking tirelessly to addres since the summer."So far, Makenzie has netted 26 goals in 20 matches in the Lowland League for Hearts 'B', which is impressive."On average, we are creating 18 to 20 goalscoring chances per game, so we're hopeful that Makenzie can add to what we already have, and be the right fit for our team as we look to progress and deliver more clinical results in the final third towards the business end of the season."Our manager, John Rankin, also rates Makenzie highly, having worked very close with him and in his development at Heart of Midlothian, where he did a great job with their youths."We would like to express a huge thanks to Joe Savage and Steven Naismith from Hearts for working so closely and positively with us over the last few weeks to ensure that we got this deal done in time for the start of the window."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
