Heartbreaking tributes have poured in for a teenage boy who tragically drowned in Wigan. The young man has been named as 15-year-old Alex Crook.
Emergency services were called to Scotman's Flash at around 3pm on Saturday (September 7). Efforts were made to rescue the teen from the water by members of the public and staff at the lake, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Will be missed a lot," another continued. "Everyone will miss you so much and you are such an amazing person. Gone too soon forever in our hearts." Paying tribute to the teen, another note said: "You are the brightest star in the sky Alex you will always be in our hearts lad.
