He was last seen at around 2.35pm outside Ninja Warrior Adventure Park near the Brick Community Stadium, formerly known as the DW Stadium, the home of Wigan Athletic FC.
Greater Manchester Police have said that they want to ensure he is 'safe and well'. The force has released a photo of the teenager.
