Greece warns holidaymakers of ‘disturbing’ issue plaguing popular destination

Athens has grown as a tourist destination in recent years, and last year around seven million people visited the Greek capital.
But the city’s mayor said that despite the visitor numbers, it generated only 42 cents in revenue from each tourist. As a result, the destination can’t keep up with visitor demands.
