The date for Rochdale's Christmas lights switch-on has been confirmed as the borough prepares to welcome the festive season in 2023.

Father Christmas and special guests including the Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Mike Holly will switch-on the lights at 5.30pm on Sunday, November 26 in front of the town hall after the traditional countdown.

The news comes after it was announced there won't be a Christmas lights switch-on in Manchester city centre this year.
