Fans of The Great British Bake Off will have to wait an extra day to get their fix from the famous tent. The much-loved channel 4 show usually airs at 8pm on Tuesdays, but football coverage will take its spot next week.
Instead, the fourth episode of the programme will return on Wednesday, 18 October at the same time. In Bake Off's place, England's football match against Italy in the Euro 2024 qualifier will air from 7pm.
Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to show their anger at the schedule change. "Yep. Outrageous. Should be: "The football has been moved to Wednesday to accommodate the #GBBO"!" on wrote.
Another penned, "Stupid football," while a third added, "Boo football." The show will eventually return to our screens with Chocolate Week, and the Signature Challenge will see the bakers make a torte. The remaining contestants will then take on a tricky Technical Challenge involving cheesecakes, before the Showstopper Challenge tests their ability to construct a chocolate box.
