New details about the Glasgow Winterfest Christmas festival have been unveiled ahead of its launch this week. Glasgow Winterfest will kick off on Friday at St Enoch Square, where it will run until December 30, before extending at George Square from November 25 until January 7.

The highly anticipated free-to-enter festive event promises to see both areas transformed into "enchanting wonderlands".Ahead of the launch, Glasgow Winterfest has announced that is currently recruiting for a number of job positions over the festive season.

Both part-time and full-time roles are available — including bar staff, ride and ice rink attendants, stall workers, and cleaners — with interested candidates being encouraged to send their enquiries to jobs@mneventsltd.com.St Enoch Square, which is where celebrations will begin on November 10, will be open every day between 11am and 10pm.

It will feature a 'Santa's train' and a "lively festive bar" where visitors can pick up a variety of seasonal treats.Meanwhile, a dedicated community hub at the venue will serve as a platform for local artists and talent, acting as a showcase of Glasgow's cultural vibrancy.
