A retro-inspired café bar in Altrincham will open its doors next week. First announced in January, restaurant group Loungers, which operates under the Lounges and Cosy Club brands, will open the new Oppio Lounge on George Street next Wednesday (April 19).
The two-unit restaurant takes over the Bistrot Pierre restaurant, which closed in December after seven years of operation. It will follow the same premise and style as other Loungers, including Expo Lounge in Didsbury, Benito in Chorlton, and Bevano in Urmston. READ MORE: The place that turned down Elton John at the heart of Stockport's boom With a nod to a ‘glamorous bygone era’, the venue has been turned into a retro-inspired retreat with heavily patterned wallpapers, eclectic artwork and stripped wooden floors.
Oppio Lounge will feature a varied and innovative all-day menu, featuring brunch, burgers, Malaysian-style fried rice, Mexican Superbowls, salads, tapas and desserts.
There will be separate vegan and gluten-free menus. Gemma Irwin, Community Manager at Loungers, previously said: “We are delighted to be bringing Loungers to Altrincham.
