The Eurovision Song Contest is taking place on Saturday night and is this year being hosted by the UK. The competition is being hosted in Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena on behalf of last year's winners Ukraine who won the contest with Kalush Orchestra's song Stefania.
The UK's hopes in 2023 rest with Mae Muller and her track I Wrote A Song. She will join bands and singers from another 25 countries who will take to the stage throughout the night.
Delivering the results of the UK’s National Jury live from the Liverpool Arena on Saturday night will be Bafta award-winning actor and comedian, Catherine Tate. Voting for Eurovision is done by a jury, however, public votes make up 50 per cent of the vote. Each participating country awards two sets of 12, 10, 8–1 points to their ten favourite songs.
