Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is searching for a new club after leaving Nottingham Forest. The England international rose through United’s academy and made more than 200 appearances for his boyhood club before his contract expired last summer.

Lingard was snapped up as part of Forest’s well-documented transfer spree and made 17 league appearances as Steve Cooper led his team to safety.

Lingard was a regular for Forest in the first half of the campaign but a mix of injuries and competition for places saw him limited to just 60 minutes of action in the Premier League after the turn of the year.

Forest announced that Lingard would be leaving the club at the end of his one-year deal and the 30-year-old has been tipped to sign for a club abroad.
