First picture of 'beautiful' mum with 'heart of gold' who died on Isle of Man holiday
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA mum-of-three from Merseyside who died on holiday has been described as a "true diamond" with a "heart of gold" as tributes pour in.
Jillian Hughes was today named as the victim of an alleged assault on the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man Constabulary said an altercation occurred outside the Palace Hotel on Central Promenade in Douglas at around 9.20pm on Friday, March 29.
The 57-year-old, who was visiting the island, sadly died in hospital. John Meadows, of Verney Crescent in Allerton, appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Monday charged with manslaughter, the Liverpool Echo reports.
No application was made for bail and he was remanded until his next court appearance on April 9. Tributes have been paid on social media to Jillian following the news of her death.
