Family's devastation as 'fit and healthy' son, 25, dies suddenly at home
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA heartbroken dad who found his 'caring and loving' son dead at home is searching for answers over what happened. An inquest was opened into the death of David Horsfield, from Tameside, yesterday (April 3).
The 25-year-old, who was known as Didi to his loved ones, was pronounced dead on January 22. His dad, David Morton, says the tragedy has been 'horrendous to go through for such a young man'.
A post-mortem found Didi had suffered pulmonary aspiration. David, 45, says the 'heartbreaking to read' autopsy report explained that his son had 'basically choked on his own sick' at home in Ashton, but the circumstances of his death remain a mystery.
