Rocco Vata is poised to leave Celtic with the young midfielder closing in on a move down south. The 19-year-old, who has made six first team appearances for the champions, has been the subject of interest from clubs in Italy and in the English Championship after being released from the club at the end of his contract.

However, according to a report, Watford are set to win the race to land Vata's signature, and as a result Celtic will receive a boost to their coffers.Sky Sports claim that the Republic of Ireland U23 international has been offered a four year deal at Vicarage Road, having already visited the club's training facilities.

Joseph adds that as he is a product of the Hoops youth academy, Celtic will be entitled to a sum of £237,000 in training compensation for Vata, who many Parkhead die-hards were hoping to see go on and male a name for himself in Brendan Rodgers' side.

But one man who all Celtic supporters definitely won't want to see leave the club this summer is Matt O'Riley. The Denmark international's stellar campaign in 2023/24 - where he registered 19 goals and 18 assists in 49 matches in all competitions - has caught the attention of European heavyweights Roma and Atletico Madrid.Much closer to home, newly promoted English Premier League side Southampton are also big admirers of the attacking midfielder, and are reportedly willing to fork out £35million for the 23-year-old.
